Motion Test was made while in residency at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in Spring of 2003, where the associate artists in residence were experimenting with video works of very short duration.

Again, as with Condensate, the short duration of the piece led to ideas concerning lifespan, termination, and moments in which our perceptions of reality are pierced. For this piece, excerpts from US Department of Defense films documenting nuclear testing in the 1950's are re-edited and juxtaposed.
